Basic (FM1) System

The “Basic” systems I build are an ideal choice for most of my customers looking to replacing their existing system.

Built from award-winning components

This, my FM1 System, is built around AMD’s latest FM1 platform (an AMD A8-3870 Quad Core processor). I fit it with a quiet processor cooler (a Gelid Tranquillo), an 80plus rated power supply to make it more energy efficient, and build it inside an award-winning Silverstone TJ-08-E Micro ATX case. On top of all that the system is fitted with a SSD instead of a Hard Disk Drive, making it extra responsive and quieter too.

Basic (Core i3) System

The Basic (Athlon) System is an ideal choice for most of my clients looking to replacing their existing system, but this, the Basic (Core i3) System, offers a little more. Not only is it built (by myself) instead around an Intel Core i3 processor, it also has a more advanced processor cooler that is nice and quiet, an 80plus rated power supply to make it more energy efficient, and the whole system is built inside the award-winning Antec One Hundred case. This latter point does make it dwarf the micro ATX case of the Athlon system, but I think that’s a good thing!

Performance Systems

The “Basic” systems I build are an ideal choice for most of my customers looking to replacing their existing system. Some people want a little more, maybe they need the extra performance for gaming or video editing, or simply appreciate that something more… and I particularly enjoy building systems with a little more grunt!

Two example systems are listed here. The “Performance (2500K Micro)” and the “Performance (2500K ATX)”. Both are built around the Intel Core i5-2500K quad core processor, have a perfomance processor cooler, 4GB of RAM (that can be increased if required), a performance graphics card, an SSD drive that provides quicker loading times, a 1TB hard drive for lots of storage space, have 80plus rated power supplies, and both are built in award-winning cases made by Silverstone – the Micro is a small case, the TJ08-E, and the ATX is built in a larger case (with a more attractive name), the Raven RV02.
